A challenging trek encompassing all the very best that the region has to offer.

Following the exciting mountain flight into Lukla we trek to the sherpa market town of Namche Bazaar. Continuing up the Gokyo Valley there are excellent views of the Thamserku and Kang Taiga summits. From Gokyo Peak the 360-degree panorama is stunning – snow peaks, Nepal’s largest glacier, moraine and tranquil glacial lakes. From here descend to cross the glacier and moraine to the east and the pass of Cho La or Chhugyuma (5420). Between rocky walls the route leads to the Khumbu valley where Gorakshep provides the opportunity to ascend Kala Pattar for more spectacular views of the surrounding mountains including the black rocky ramparts of Everests southwest face. The return is via Tengboche Gompa, the most important Buddhist center of the region with the imposing peak of Thamserku looming over the trail.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu / Transfer to Hotel

Day 02. Sightseeing: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Buddhanath and Swyambunath

Day 03. Sightseeing: Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Day 04. Kathamandu to Lukla to Phakding (2,652m): Fly ( 45 mins.) from Kathmandu to Lukla and walk towards Phakding via Chaurikharka, a Sherpa settlement who will always greet with smiles.

Day 05. Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,446 m.): With a slight climb to Jorsalle, pass a waterfall along this part of the trail villages enjoying magnificent forest of Rhododendron, Mangoliya, and Giant Firs then walk up to Namche Bazar. Day 06. Rest at Namche Bazar: Rest day at Namche Bazar for acclimatization. You can’t make day trip to Thame. If you want to visit Thame you need one more day for your trekking trip.

Day 07. Namche Bazar – Dole (4040 m.):- walk Towards Doke, an easy way up through Sannasa and Phortse Tenga, On the way, one can see animals and mountains on both side of the trail.

Day 08. Dole – Machherma (4410 m.):- Gradually up to the wide valley Luza surrounded by snowcapped mountains with multi-dimensional images of the mountain.

Day 09. Machherma – Gokyo (4750 m.):- An easy walk though Pangkha then cross a small river which flows down from Cho-Oyu (8153 m.) and enter the Gokyo valley. One can see beautiful lakes of different kinds here.

Day 10. Gokyo – Gokyo Ri Peak (5360 m.) - Gokyo:- Trek up to the Gokyo Ri early in the morning and witness the magnificent view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and as well as other innumerable peaks. Sunrise to see from here is very interesting and come back to Gokyo for breakfast. After breakfast you may make day trip to other interesting sites around the Cho-Oyu base camp and rest.

Day 11. Gokyo - Thegna (4700 m.):- After breakfast trek onwards to Thegna the base of Chola Pass. On the way we cross Cho-Oyu glacier.

Day 12. Thegna – Chola Pass (5330 m.) – Dzanglha (4830 m.):- Through the crossing of the pass is not rechincally difficult, take it slowly to take into account the complications of altitude and possible bit snow. After about 4 hr. reach the top and enjoy some absolutely stunning high Himalayas scenery. Then after reaches on the top descend is steep and rough, but soon having excellent views of Chola Lake and as well as beautiful view of Himalayas.

Day 13. Dzanglha – Labuche (4900 m.):- The trail ascend the broad gentley sloping valley and climbs steeply into the terminal moraine of Khumbu glaciers then crosses the bridge and climbs higher on the moraine to a row of stone’s monuments in the memory of six Sherpas who died in an avalanche at Lobuche

Day 14. Labuche - Kalapatthar (5545 m.) – Gorakshep (5050m.):- This trail provides a wonderful view of Pumori. This section of the trek provides good views of the Everest Group from Gorakshep and Kalapatthar. Especially Kalapatthar offers a closest view of Mt. Everest and as well as hundreds of other beautiful peaks including that of Tibet. Then return to Gorakshep for night stay.



Day 15. Gorakshep – Mt. Everest Base Camp (5245m) – Labuche (4900m.):- Everest Base Camp is the main camp for the Mountaineers as they have all the beautiful snowy mountains around and they really make it a life time memory in their travel history. Then return down to Labuche for night stay.

Day 16. Labuche to Tangbocehe ( 3860m ): An easy way down to Tangboche. Tengboche offers a beautiful glance of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Cholatse, Thamserku and Amadablam. One can also visit Tangboche monastery.

Day 17. Tangboche to Khumjung ( 3790m ): Come back to Khumjung ( biggest Sherpa village of Everest region ) from Pheriche. Great view of Amadablam is visible. Excursion through the local Sherpa village and Hillary hospital, Hillary school constructed by Sir Edmund Hillary.

Day 18. Khumjung to Phakding: An easy way down to Phakding

Day 19. Phakding to Lukla: An easy way walk up Lukla.

Day 20. Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla / Pick up from Domestic airport and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 21. Free day in Kathmandu / Shopping etc.

Day 22. Final departure from Nepal or you can make your own trip as per your interest.
